First Year and First Class Retrospective

Oh wow! It has been a year already! I want to take this opportunity and look back at 2022, what it brought to the Children of the Atom, for myself and how things are looking going forward. When I started this blog in early 2022, the second wave of X-Men was recently spoiled and we were adding Rogue, Gambit, X-23, Honey Badger, Colossus and Magik to the roster list, almost doubling it in size. At the time, the X-Men were still considered underdogs and not really competitively viable and I gave myself the goal of working to change that perspective both through content creation and by participating in more events like the TTS league. I felt that by playing them for as long as I had, I would be able to bring a relevant perspective.

Looking back at 2022, I had the privilege of attending a solid amount of events, both online and in person, locally and abroad, collaborated with other content creators and got a lot better at MCP in general. Looking forward at what 2023 brings leaves me optimistic for the game. I’m giving myself as a main objective to be more consistent in writing pieces for this blog and keep playing and enjoying MCP as much as I have in the past year. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend more events and conventions in 2023, meet more amazing members of the MCP community and have a blast in the coming months. With LVO almost a month away and a revamp to a significant amount of crisis, I’ve got my work cut out for me already.

Thanks to all those who took the time to read this blog, I wish you all a happy new year and as always, don’t forget to have fun!
